1. Service Scope
BJM Transportation provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services within the Midlands of South Carolina. Our services are available Monday through Friday, and all bookings are subject to availability.
2. Door-to-Door Service
We provide curb-to-curb or door-to-door transportation. This means:
Our drivers will assist passengers from the door of their residence/facility to the door of the destination.
We do not enter homes, climb stairs, or lift passengers.
Ramps, elevators, or level access must be available for all passengers requiring assistance.
3. Oxygen Policy
We do not provide oxygen. If the passenger requires portable oxygen, it must be self-supplied and self-managed. The passenger must be stable and capable of traveling safely without medical intervention.
4. Passenger Eligibility & Responsibility
Passengers must be medically stable and able to transfer in and out of the vehicle with minimal assistance.
If a passenger has special needs beyond our scope (e.g., behavioral support, two-person lift), we may decline service or require a caregiver to accompany them.
One caregiver or companion may ride at no cost. An additional guest may be allowed for an extra fee (see current pricing).
5. Wheelchair Transportation
All wheelchair equipment must be in safe, working condition and capable of being secured properly.
We reserve the right to refuse service if the mobility device is unsafe, unstable, or non-compliant with securement standards.
6. Wait Time, No-Shows, & Cancellations
Passengers are expected to be ready at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup.
Wait fees may apply after a grace period (see pricing).
Late cancellations or no-shows are subject to a fee and may impact future booking privileges.
7. Safety & Conduct
BJM drivers are trained in CPR, First Aid, PASS, and defensive driving.
Passengers and caregivers are expected to behave respectfully and follow driver instructions.
BJM reserves the right to refuse or terminate service in the event of unsafe, aggressive, or disruptive behavior.
8. Payment Policy
All rides must be paid in advance or at time of service.
We accept credit cards and debit cards. Cash is not accepted.
If a third party (e.g., facility, broker) is paying, proper documentation must be submitted before service is rendered.
9. Limitation of Liability
BJM Transportation is not liable for:
Delays caused by traffic, weather, or conditions beyond our control.
Personal belongings left behind in the vehicle.
Medical emergencies occurring during transit (our services are non-emergency).
10. Agreement to Terms
By submitting a ride request, you acknowledge that you:
Have read and understand the above terms
Agree to comply with all policies listed
Understand that violation of these terms may result in denied service
